Local Missions
WHEAT – the Western Hanover Emergency Action Team provides assistance to families in crisis in our community. St. Peter’s supports this ministry with donations of money, and food and volunteers for the food pantry.

Boy Scout Troop 706 - we have had the privilege of sponsoring the scouts for over 30 years.

Free Clothes Closet  – children, youth, and adults pick from a large supply of clean, gently used or new clothes and shoes. The Clothes Closet is held in August before the start of school and is open to the community.
Backpack Food Program  - Backpacks are provided for children that may not have food on the weekends. We furnish easy to prepare foods for 3 children at the Anna Elementary School.

Wood Ministry – partnering with Western Hanover Wood Ministry to provide wood for families with limited economic resources. For more info contact Greg Vig at 227-3186.

Free Pancake Dinner with Santa for children of our community at Christmas. Families have dinner, hear the Christmas story, visit with Santa and get to shop for a gift for their parents.
We support Heart Havens, a ministry of providing homes so adult mentally challenged persons can live independently with supervision. Volunteers have completed household repairs, painting projects and yardwork.

St. Peter’s hosts the weekly meeting (Wednesday 7:30 PM) of the AA ministry called the 33 West Recovery Group

Shalom Farms - Volunteers from St. Peter's work in the fields of this Goochland farm to plant, weed, and harvest vegetables for distribution to food banks in Richmond, The motto of Shalom is f "Together We Grow Healthy Food, Family and Friends"
