What type of church is St. Peter’s?

We are a faith community of various ages, backgrounds and outlooks united by our faith in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Many talented and devoted staff, leaders, and other committed servants make up our faith community here in Montpelier. We strive to live-out Jesus’ two great commandments of loving God and loving our neighbors as ourselves.

St. Peter’s is a United Methodist Church. Our faith community is built on the teachings of Scripture, the traditions of the early Christian church, and the guidance of our Methodist founder, John Wesley. When should I visit?

Right now! We are eager to meet you! Please join us for worship on Sundays at 10:00 am. We have an adult Sunday School class beginning at 9:00 am. Child care for children ages infant through second grade is available during worship.

Where are you located?

We are located at 15599 Mountain Road, Montpelier, Virginia, at the corner of US Route 33 and St. Peter’s Church Road.

What should I wear?

Wear whatever feels comfortable to you. Some folks dress in the “Sunday best,” and others are comfortable in jeans and t-shirts. You are welcome here just as you are.

How long are services?

The service begins at 10:00 a.m. and generally concludes by 11:15 or shortly thereafter. While child-care is offered during the service, young children are welcome to remain with their parents in the sanctuary for all or for a portion of the service.
