Blessing of the Animals

Give thanks for the animals in your life. Come and offer a blessing for their presence with us in work and companionship. Bring them or a picture of them to church on Sunday, October 12th, 2 PM. We will gather on the back lawn  for a time of thanksgiving. Invite your friends and neighbors.

This tradition rose up as part of celebrating St. Francis feast day generations ago. He was known to lift up animals and all of creation as gifts  from God to be honored. He wrote about our interconnectedness in this creation as blessing together in relationship with our Creator.
